Photographs by myself, from Westbay, Dorset.
I like it when a flower or a little tuft of grass grows through a crack in the concrete. It’s so fuckin’ heroic. - George Carlin

it’s all so exciting!!!
Formation is one of my own projects, taken in the rocks of South Milton, Devon. This project is ongoing and celebrates the patterns found in nature and how the perspective of these rock formations is disorientating, which questions the real size of the natural forms.
Formation up on Powers of Wander.
Our first submission by Harry Rose.
Upon a Fathers Back is a project set in the mountainous landscape of North Wales. As part of the Snowdonia National park, this corner of wales is a popular place for walking, mountain biking and other out door recreational activities. But where the heart of the place truly lies, is within the hidden walks and paths which are only known by the locals, and evade the tourist trap. These walks have been written down by my grandfather who took my father, uncles and aunts to a white cottage where they spent every holiday, deep in the mountains. Eventually the walks and paths got passed down to me and my other siblings. This level of heritage and bloodline runs deep within my family, its a place which is rich in personal history and nostalgia. The edit complies of photographs taken by myself and my great uncle, who spent many of his years as a boy photographing and painting the scenery. This project is very much in its infancy, in time it will comply of an archival edit, as well as paintings from members of my family who have documented this place of the world for the past 70 years.
The first submission on my art inspired by nature blog, check it out and submit your own art work, whether it’s photography, illustration, needlework… anything!
Got the first journal of the set back from the printers, I’m hoping for a set of between 3 to 5 journals by the end of the assignment, all will eventually have material covers made by myself, also all Polaroids/photographs/foldouts featured in the journal will be printed separately and tipped in or attached appropriately. My aim is to create something nice to hold, to present the ‘journal’ in a professional way.
Current work, next step is to find the material for the handmade cover.
Immortal Technique- Dominant Species
I’m stuck inside the future and life is chaotic
The government is psychotically racist and robotic
The matrix of entrapment is socio-economic
Erotic conspiracy theory becomes reality
Life is war, and every day’s a battle to me
Here is a sneaky peek into my Final Major Project. My aim is to create as many journals as possible, which show all off my skills. For example, photography, illustration and typography. Towards the end of the FMP I hope to create a digital app so that my journeys can be followed via twitter and other social networks, the app will also include excerpts from my journals so that they can be seen on tablets, smartphones and computers anywhere in the world.
My aim is to take you on a journey, physically with pictures and mentally with typography and ramblings.
You can find the full journal so far at cargocollective.com/pwrs/FMP
Excited about making this into a proper book.
